How to Cut Your Install Time in Half with Ninite
We've all been there. You have a whole bunch of stuff to install on a new machine that you are setting up for the first time. Instead of going to each website and downloading the installer, visit ninite.com first.
Go to Ninite.com
Select the items that you'd like to install.
Click Get Installer and save the resulting .exe to your desktop.
Run the .exe you saved in Step 3.
Sit back and relax, or go watch some TV. Ninite will download and install all of the most up to date versions of the software you selected by downloading the newest software from each website.
And don't worry about any junkware. As Ninite's site states:
- start working as soon as you run it
- not bother you with any choices or options
- install apps in their default location
- say no to toolbars or extra junk
- install 64-bit apps on 64-bit machines
- install apps in your PC's language or one you choose
- do all its work in the background
- install the latest stable version of an app
- skip up-to-date apps
- skip any reboot requests from installers
- use your proxy settings from Internet Explorer
- download apps from each publisher's official site
- verify digital signatures or hashes before running anything
- work best if you turn off any web filters or firewalls
- save you a lot of time!
